Website Audits

The five websites I reviewed were the following …

Second Cup

I found Second cup to be the best out of the five. It as easy to navigate, had lots of information and didn’t seem to have any technical errors. The only problem I found was the lack of color scheme. Everything was brown, and although that obviously suits the theme of coffee, it started to be too repetitive.

Folgers

Although folgers was visually appealing, I found the site to be relatively useless. The navigation was confusing, and each page didn’t have much information. They had a recipes page which was neat, but that was the only thing I found interesting. At least, thats the opinion I had when I did the audit. They have revamped the site since then, and it seems to be easier to navigate now.

Timothy’s

This site was very basic, gave info etc so it was useful, but not very appealing to look at. I didn’t like the layout, color scheme … basically the overall design. This one was my least favorite.

Booster Juice

This site was the most visually appealing, and fun to navigate through. However, the amount of graphics and flashy junk loaded it down, and each page took entirely too long to load. I didn’t even read half of them because I got frustrating waiting to actually view it.

Steeps

This site was basic and did the job, which was nice. It had the right feel for the product, and was easy to navigate. There is a forums sections that would be a really good addition, if it weren’t for the fact that nobody has posted on it. I also really liked the logo.
