Chapbook
So I have to make a chapbook for my creative writing option class. Its a compilation of assignments done throughout the course, and anything else written that you want to put in. It has to have some consistent design to it, not just a bunch of text.
I used Noodle’s windmill from the Gorillaz’s “El Manana” video as the picture for the cover, live traced in Illustrator. The rest I made using Indesign.

We could have just downloaded a template from here but I figured since I paid how much money to learn indesign I should probably use it. Of course, I haven’t used it since last year and forgot most it it. Now I can’t figure out how to print it as a booklet properly. Maybe those useful people in the library can help me.
The instructor of the course also gave us links to some local pubslishers specializing in chapbooks.
That last one is a wordpress blog, who knew. I never knew about wordpress before interface and now it seems like its popping up everywhere. Like when you own a certain car, you never notice how many of that particular car is owned by other people until you own it yourself. Because thats on topic.
Anyway, I’m fairly pleased with the design of my chapbook so far. It’s starting to make me realize i’ve actually learned something in the past two and a half years. Who knew.

Very true, we have paid a lot of money to be here. Unfortunately, for myself, I do not feel like I have received my money’s worth in education. We had touched base on InDesign a lot and barely on any other program (not very beneficial to us if you ask me).
I think that your design turned out very well.
